 Your Free Business eMail Account -

 When you purchase a new domain name, like www.bciwire.com .... for $9.95 or up to $35 on other sites, you will get several free email accounts along with it. Such as:
 Yourname@thedomainname.com or....;  Sally@mydomainname.com as an example. Most professional business owners and employees really should have their own unique business email with their company ID Domain name attached.

If you own a domain name, you can have your very own email attached to that name. Why have your name @ gmail or hotmail or Yahoo.com ?? Especially if you own a business you should really consider your own email account. How professional sounding is your email?

Issues and problems with some of the Free email accounts include these examples;

A dirty little secret: guilt by association

Here's something that most free email providers will never admit: because their services are often abused by spammers, you may find that some ISPs (Internet Service Providers -- companies providing web access) have taken to automatically blocking mail coming from some free email domains. You may well find that your messages will never get to certain people, no matter how many times you send them out; that's because their ISP is filtering the mail before they get a chance to see it!

This is one of the reasons why free email addresses are fine for individual use, but not a good idea if your business depends on people getting through to you....see more....; http://www.emailaddresses.com/guide_facts2.htm

I have been a webmaster since 1995 and I can say this, most of these Virtual "Free" email accounts with Google, Yahoo, Hotmail and others are not well funded. They do not generate a lot of income for their owners so they do not put much time into fixing issues. They rely on "forums" and "feedback" from victims... er, I mean users ...and so on. JUST LOOK at this issue, since 2005 users have complained but still no help from Google, no fixes... nothing.

What I would recommend is that anyone serious about their email, should have a regular domain based email account which is attached to a unique domain name. This would be the best way to go. Use Outlook, Eudora or other programs to use it ...or, if you like to be able to get your email from a remote location on any computer then a good webmaster will provide that ability at no extra cost. Its called Webmail. - Mine is accessed from any computer like this: http://webmail.bciwire.com and all I need to do is enter my username and password. Its that easy. It does all the cool things that other freebie accounts do, receive, send, save, forward etc.

Of course any email can come under attack, spammers and hackers can mess things up for the basic email user. However, at least with a traditional or regular domain based email you have more direct control and if its with a known and trusted company you can actually talk with support staff for real time help. No so with "virtual email" like Google gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo etc.

I hope this helps those who count on their email and need it to be available when needed, to consider a real email account as a good option.
